Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme

Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP) is a joint commitment from NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK, to deliver at scale evidence based behavioural interventions for individuals identified as being at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

The aim of the programme is to reduce people’s risk of developing Type 2 diabetes across England. This will consequently improve the health of the nation whilst at the same time reducing a major financial burden on the system; one which goes beyond managing the condition itself, to the potential treatment of a number of associated conditions such as sight loss, kidney failure and stroke.

Referral onto the programme
