HEART UK NHS Health Check Awards

This year’s HEART UK NHS Health Check Awards were held at the Primary Care Cardiovascular Journal Conference in Nottingham on 6 November. The Awards were presented by Jules Payne, Chief Executive of HEART UK and Jamie Waterall, National Lead for the NHS Health Check (NHS HC) programme at Public Health England.

A large audience of around 120 conference delegates gathered to hear the winners announced in this, the second year of the annual event. There were three finalists in each of the six award categories. A genuine sense of excitement and anticipation preceded the announcement of each winning entry.

PHE thanks HEART UK for organising the event and all of the organisations that submitted for an award. PHE would like to congratulate the 2015 winners:

PHE is delighted at the level of enthusiasm shown for the awards, which is an excellent showcase for highlighting different public health achievements and innovations that can be realised through the NHS HC programme.
