NHS Health Check National Conference 2016: Getting Serious about Prevention - Tuesday 1 March 2016 - London - www.phe-events.org.uk/NHShealthcheck2016

The NHS Health Check National Conference 2016: Getting Serious about Prevention will be taking place on Tuesday 1 March 2016 at the The Kia Oval (Alec Stewart Gate), Surrey County Cricket Club, Kennington, London SE11 5SS.

Abstract submissions for educational posters and oral presentations are now open.

At the 2016 conference we are, for the first time, inviting abstracts for educational/research posters and oral presentations to be included in the conference programme of workshops and a poster competition. We would like to invite abstracts from a range of partners including local authorities, third sector, academics, NHS and service provider organisations.

The purpose of inviting abstracts for educational/research posters and oral presentations is to share your knowledge and learning on a project or evaluation that you’ve undertaken on the NHS Health Check programme. Abstracts should include reported outcomes or details of any planned evaluation.

Abstracts which are considered to be commercial advertisements will not be considered.

Your abstract can be considered for the poster competition, oral presentation or both.

You will be asked to select an option when submitting your application and if your abstract is accepted you will need to be present on the day of the conference.

Abstracts should be no more than 500 words including a primary author, or presenter, an introduction, purpose, methodology, results and conclusion. All abstracts must clearly demonstrate how they link to the NHS Health Check programme and should reflect one or more of the following preferred topics which can be viewed on the conference website.

Abstract applications should be submitted via the conference website  by 17:00 on Friday 2 October 2015.

If you would like to be added to a mailing list to be invited when bookings open please send an email with the subject heading "HC16 MAILING LIST" to events@phe.gov.uk
