Public health services non mandatory contracts and guidance has now been published

The public health services contract published today is a non-mandatory contract designed for use by local authorities in commissioning services to meet their new public health functions.

It is adaptable for use for a broad range of public health services and delivery models.  Although the contract is non-mandatory it provides a robust framework to hold providers to account for the delivery of high quality public health funded services to achieve improved health outcomes.

Download the public health services contract 2013-14 for use by local authorities with accompanying guidance and letter from Felicity Harvey (Director General for Public Health):

These documents are for local authorities in particular directors of public health, commissioners and procurement specialists. They should also be of interest to providers of public health services.

Please send any queries or comments to the public health commissioning team.
