Public Health England publishes latest statistics on NHS Health Check

Public Health England has today published the latest data on the NHS Health Check programme. This is the second data release since responsibility for the programme moved from primary care trusts to local authorities in April 2013 and covers activity in July, August and September 2013.

The figures show that 698,808 NHS Health Checks were recorded as offered in the second quarter of 2013/14. A total of 346,588 NHS Health Checks were recorded as having been received in the same period. Take up was 49.6% . The England average for the same quarter in 2012-2013 England average was 47.5%

People can find the latest data on their councilís programme through a new, easy to use interactive map on the NHS Health Check website http://www.healthcheck.nhs.uk including:

Nationally, there are 15,323,148 people aged 40-74 who should be offered an NHS Health Check once every five years.
